Commissioned by my friend for her fathers birthday, a destroyerman who served aboard Sarsfield circa 1970.

These vessels sailed every sea, carrying on through thick and thin, establishing records for speed almost equal to the steam ships of today. Built with long narrow hulls, these ships “clipped” over the waves rather than plough through, earning them the name ‘clipper’.
