The ice caps of the Pleistocene stretched as far south as New York and London. Roaming in herds across the vast expanses of boggy grasslands to the south was the Wooly Mammoth.

These vessels sailed every sea, carrying on through thick and thin, establishing records for speed almost equal to the steam ships of today. Built with long narrow hulls, these ships “clipped” over the waves rather than plough through, earning them the name ‘clipper’.

Jackalope
He has the characteristics of many animals but is closely related to none, a truly unique creature in the animal kingdom. Perhaps the most outstanding thing about the jackalope is its remarkable antlers, usually present in both sexes. Now believed to be extinct, countless jackalope once called the rolling prairies and great plains of North America home.

The client wanted a portrait of his father and his best friend fighting an exceptionally large dorado they had caught together. He had asked for an Old Man and the Sea feel. One of my favorites.
